PALAZZO MICHELACCI
Appennino Tosco-Romagnolo
The fascinating history of Corniolo tells a story not only of days gone by, but also keeps its memory alive in the present day and this can be felt in every corner of the village.
The Michelacci family name often appears within the archives of local hisory, and has influenced village life socially, economically, politically and historically throughout time.

As successful landowners and thoroughbred stock breeders, wealth and prosperity blessed the family giving them full control over the village and surrounding valley.
Due to its historical standing, Palazzo Michelacci is one of the oldest buildings in the village. Presently it is the home to “I Tre Lupetti” restaurant, popular with day trippers, for banquets and gastronomic tour.
At Palazzo Michelacci one can relive the almost tangible atmosphere of the village, an austere atmosphere perhaps, but one that is also peaceful and appealing.
One can imagine well known personalities of the family. Surly old Pasquale Michelacci, an intelligent man, famous as far as Tuscany, good and wise Pietro Michelacci and his brothers, and finally Giuseppe Michelacci, overseas and so far from home, with his beloved homeland hels fast in his heart.
By renovating this magnificent “Palazzo”, the sisters Paola and Federica Michelacci have chosen to share with the world the history of their family still so alive and dear to their hearts.
