The ADRIATIC Arena (ex BPA Palace) is a major events centre in Italy. Opened with a memorable recital by Luciano Pavarotti (honorary citizen of Pesaro since 1986), in the summer of 1996 in the presence of 10 thousand people. Since then the ADRIATIC Arena has hosted many highly important spectacles, conventions and sporting and musical events.
To name a few, the Davis Cup (a meeting between Italy and Spain; 'All Star basketball Game, World League volleyball (Italy-Yugoslavia, Italy-China) and the final WBO world of boxing between Gonzales and Parisi match. To further demonstrate the flexibility of its space - dance championships, indoor supercross trials and wrestling matches.
Concerts and shows from Ennio Morricone, Elton John, Sting, Eric Clapton, Simple Mind, Santana, Peter Gabriel, Queen, Pat Metheny, Jovanotti, Ligabue, Baglioni, Zero, Pausini, Sugar, Proietti, Fiorello, Beppe Grillo, Notre Dame de Paris, Momix and many others have also been held here.
